Christian Dental College (CDC), Ludhiana is a ‘vintage/old-fashioned building, that has a ‘human-centred’ approach with highly skilled doctors using the most modern equipment and techniques. All my investigations, consultations, and even the timing of my implant surgery were planned out well in advance with the exchange of X-rays and telephone consultations prior to my travel to India. I was all ready to travel to Ludhiana and suddenly found myself stranded with travel problems! I just cursed my luck and thought all was lost but within minutes the CDC staff sprang into action and managed to put me on a taxi from Delhi. In 7 hours, I was personally received at the main reception. I just could not believe myself when within the next 45 minutes, registration, all investigations including scans and consultation were completed. It was spotted that I also needed a root canal treatment (RCT) for one other tooth. An immediate decision was made to do both the RCT and implants. surgery the next morning! It was to be done by two different surgeons with their own specialisation one after the other. I was personally dropped off to the hotel. The next morning, I was picked up at the hotel and transported to the CDC. The next 3 hours were an amazing experience. Everything moved like clockwork. Two surgeons operated on me one after the other making me absolutely pain-free and felt very comfortable. Their chilled, skilled, and relaxed demeanor was extremely reassuring, especially as I was for a change at the receiving end! Dr Nirmal Kurian, Prosthodontist, Dr Kapil Dua, endodontist and Dr Inderjot Singh, Maxillofacial surgeon who all treated me are exceptional. I particularly observed in my visit that each member of staff from reception to outside pharmacy was extremely courteous and compassionate with all the patients and relatives.
